Social activist Anna Hazare, who two days ago ended the hunger strike he had undertaken in Delhi to press for action against corruption, is expected in the city today for a medical check-up.
Hazare, who is suffering from severe knee pain and has a spine problem, is expected to come to Sancheti hospital in the late morning hours.
Confirming this, Dr Parag Sancheti, orthopaedic surgeon and director of Sancheti hospital, said, "He (Hazare) is an old patient of this hospital. We have been told that he has knee pain and will come for check-up, but I don't know the exact time yet." Doctors said Hazare's prolonged hunger strikes and his public tours might have taken a toll on his health.
