Prime Minister Narendra Modi was sworn in for his third consecutive term on Sunday, marking a significant milestone as he matched Jawaharlal Nehru's achievement of securing victory in three successive general elections.
The ceremony took place at Rashtrapati Bhavan and was attended by dignitaries from India's neighboring countries and the Indian Ocean Region, reflecting India's commitment to its âNeighbourhood First' policy and âSAGAR' vision.
The Modi 3.0 cabinet comprises 72 ministers, including 30 cabinet ministers, 5 ministers of state with independent charge, and 36 ministers of state.
Among the senior ministers who took oath after Modi were Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, Nirmala Sitharaman, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, and Piyush Goyal.

Seven former chief ministers, including Modi himself, are part of the new cabinet. Others include Shivraj Singh Chouhan (Madhya Pradesh), Rajnath Singh (Uttar Pradesh), Manohar Lal Khattar (Haryana), Sarbananda Sonowal (Assam), H D Kumaraswamy (Karnataka), and Jitan Ram Manjhi (Bihar).
