On the occasion of Anant Chaturdashi, Mumbaikars bid farewell to their favourite deity, Lord Ganesha. The immersion processions of Mumbai's famous Ganpati pandals, Mumbaicha Raja and Lalbaugcha Raja were a low-key affair. As per the BMC, as many as 715 lifeguards were stationed at immersion sites with 39 ambulances placed at the site and 36 motorboats kept on sea level for essential services. Pic/PTI

The 10-day festival might have happened on a small scale compared to previous years but it has not dampened the spirit of people as they have still celebrated the festival with the same passion and exuberance. Pic/Sameer Markande
