"The police haven't done a bit to trace my wife and son. In fact, when asked about the progress of the probe, they questioned us, asking what investigation they should do. Is this how police work?" questioned Rahul Deokar, Anuradha's husband. The family has looked in Kalyan and Ambivli for the duo, but haven't got a clue.

"We have gone to many places in Kalyan and Ambivli in search of the duo. We also put up posters in more than 500 places, and released advertisements on local TV channels. But we haven't seen any efforts taken by the police," added Deokar.

Vijay Bhagat, brother of Anuradha, has also launched a search for a woman to whom his deceased mother had talked a couple of months ago.

"According to locals she is a godwoman who claims to have remedies for possessions. She is also missing from the day my mother and sister disappeared. We informed this to the cops but they turned a deaf ear to us," said Vijay.
