On Wednesday, the academician, social activist Hari Narke (60) died following a heart attack.
According to his family sources, Narke breathed his last at a private hospital around 10 am.
"His mortal remains were taken to Pune for cremation," the sources told PTI.
Hari Narke had authored books on social reformer Mahatma Jyotiba Phule and the chief architect of the Indian Constitution Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar.
