Sparks from a local train in Borivali station
Sparks from a local train due to a technical snag at Borivali station led to a minor disruption on the Western Railway on Sunday afternoon.
Commuters said there were sparks and loud noise from the pantograph of the train.
Services were restored after a few minutes.
Confirming the incident, a Western Railway spokesperson told Mid-Day, "Between 2:32 pm and 2:50 pm, there was a technical issue in the panto which resulted in sparking. The problem was attended to and the train has now moved ahead. There are no repercussions."
