On Tuesday morning, the commuters using the Harbour and Transharbour suburban train services headed towards Panvel experienced an unexpected delay on the Central line.
According to the Central Railway (CR) official, the trains were running approximately 30 minutes behind schedule in the Belapur-Panvel section. The delay caused inconveniences to many passengers during their morning commute.
Further, the CR official informed that the trains bound for Vashi and Belapur were operating as per their regular schedules. The delay was localised to trains heading towards Panvel causing a backlog in services.
"It is due to bunching that occurred due to a technical point failure at Panvel in the morning from 05.35 hrs to 07.25 hrs," the Central Railway official informed.

The cause of this delay was identified as a technical point failure at Panvel that occurred early in the morning.
