Central Railway's Mumbai division will operate a mega block on its suburban sections for carrying out various engineering and maintenance works on Sunday, August 13.
According to a press release, Central Railway shared the details of the mega block and said-
Main Line-
Block Section- Between Matunga and Mulund stations
Block on and time- Up and Down Fast lines from 11.05 am to 03.55 pm

Block details-
Down fast services leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai from 10.25 am to 3.35 pm will be diverted on down slow line between Matunga and Mulund halting at stations as per their respective schedule and will arrive destination 15 minutes behind schedule. Fast trains beyond Thane will be re-diverted on down fast line at Mulund.
Up fast services leaving Thane from 10.50 am to 3.46 pm will be diverted on Up slow line between Mulund and Matunga halting at stations as per their respective schedule, will be re-diverted on Up fast line at Matunga and will arrive destination 15 minutes behind schedule.
Harbour Line-
Block Section- Between Mankhurd and Nerul stations
Block on and time- Up and Dn Harbour lines from 11.15 am to 04.15 pm.
Block details-
Down Harbour services for Vashi/ Belapur/ Panvel leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai from 10.18 am to 3.28 pm and Up Harbour services for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai leaving Panvel/Belapur/Vashi from 10.37 am to 3.45 pm will remain cancelled.
The Central Railway said that special local trains will be running on the CSMT-Mankhurd section during the block period. Harbour line passengers will be permitted to travel via Trans-harbour / main line from 10.00 am to 04.30 pm.
"These maintenance mega blocks are essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety. Passengers are requested to bear with the Railway Administration for the inconvenience caused," the Central Railway said.
