A resident of Mohne village in Kalyan, Anuradha Deokar, 33, her father Vimal Bhagat, 54, and son went missing On September 8. The family was alerted by her neighbours who found their flat's door open around 11 am. Police filed a missing person complaint at Khadakpada police station. Later, Vimal's body was found near Ulhas river, but there was no trace of Anuradha and her son.

"We came across two people [at Sivakasi] who told us that they saw her. We kept an eye on those temples, but got no success," said Vijay. "We have literally gone to every temple in and around Sivakasi, but have found nothing concrete."

Vijay and Rahul have printed more than 500 posters in Tamil and Hindi, and are visiting various pockets in the area. "While we were searching for them in the markets, one woman said she saw Anuradha in front of a primary school, while a fruit seller said he had seen them in front of Mahalingam temple. We kept an eye on both these places and asked hundreds of people, but to no avail," said the husband.

"We are losing our patience now, as we don't know how to find her anymore. We are now just hoping for some miracle," said Vijay.
