Nationalist Congress Party state unit chief Sunil Tatkare clinched the Raigad seat for the Ajit Pawar faction. The MP, according to Maharashtra Lok Sabha Election Results 2024 data, won the Raigad seat by a margin of 82, 784 votes. Tatkare got 5, 08, 352 votes, the data from Election Commission stated.

Shiv Sena (UBT) had fielded Anant Geete from the seat, who per the Maharashtra Lok Sabha Election Results 2024 data, received 4, 25, 568 votes.

Tatkare, a former state minister, was elected to the Lok Sabha in 2019 and supported Ajit Pawar when the NCP, established by Sharad Pawar, split in July 2023.

According to the Maharashtra Lok Sabha Election Results 2024 data available from the Election Commission website, in the coastal constituency adjacent to Mumbai, up to 27,270 voters opted for 'None of the Above' (NOTA).

Kumudini Ravindra Chavan, the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) nominee, garnered 19,618 votes, while Shrinivas Mattaparti, an independent candidate, received 9,394, stated the ECI data.

Maharashtra Lok Sabha Election Results 2024: Counting of votes

As per an official, postal ballots were tallied first in the 48 Lok Sabha seats of the state, with the counting of votes starting at 8 am.

Along with the ruling BJP and opposition Congress, the Shiv Sena and NCP factions are vying for political dominance in the state alongside the Sena (UBT) and NCP (SP).

In five phases from April 19 to May 20, Maharashtra held general elections with a voter participation of 61.33 per cent.

In total, 5,70,06,778 voters out of 9,29,43,890 exercised their right to vote in the five phases.

The Gadchiroli-Chimur constituency had the highest polling rate at 71.88 per cent, while Mumbai South had the lowest turnout at 50.06 per cent.

14,507 people are counting votes in Maharashtra, which includes 289 counting rooms and 4,309 counting tables.
