Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Tuesday visited the shelter where villagers affected by a landslide in Irshalwadi have been temporarily resettled, an official statement said on Tuesday.
On the occasion, CM Shinde also inspected the shelter in which these villagers were temporarily resettled following a massive landslide last month that killed several people.
"During the inspection, CM Shinde saw a little girl studying in the shelter. He sat beside the girl and spoke to her," the statement said.
Meanwhile, CM Eknath Shinde felicitated Thane Disaster Response Force (TDRF) personnel on the occasion of the Independence Day on Tuesday and lauded their work after a landslide at Irshalwadi in neighbouring Raigad district, Maharashtra last month, reported news agency PTI.

CM Eknath Shinde hoisted the national flag at the Shiv Sena's Thane city office at midnight.
After the flag hoisting, he felicitated the TDRF jawans at a brief function.
lauded the work done by Thane's fire services, TDRF and regional disaster management cell (RDMC) teams during emergencies and asked them to continue the good work.
The CM referred to the work done by them in Irshalwadi, which witnessed a massive landslide last month.
Shiv Sena spokesman and former Thane mayor Naresh Mhaske and MLA Pratap Sarnaik were present at the event.
In another function, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP from Thane Rajan Vichare hoisted the tricolour at the party branch office.
A number of Sena (UBT) members were present during the function.

Meanwhile, three more patients died at the municipal-run Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital at Kalwa in Thane district, taking the toll to 21 since Saturday last, while authorities started moving patients who are not in a serious condition and new admissions to a civil hospital nearby if they are willing to be relocated, officials said on Monday.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde visited the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj (CSM) Hospital and announced Rs 71 crore funds for creation of various facilities to treat patients coming from rural parts of Thane district, and promised action against those responsible for the deaths.
Shinde, who was accompanied by civic chief Abhijit Bangar and district collector Ashok Shingare, said the patient deaths at the CSM Hospital, located in his political turf Thane, were painful and asked all parties to desist from indulging in politics on the issue.
Chief Minister Shinde on Monday visited the CSM Hospital and interacted with patients, their relatives and also reviewed the current staff and requirement of additional personnel to manage the influx of patients.
