Maharashtra: 648 new Covid-19 cases in Thane, 11 more deaths

With the addition of 648 new cases of coronavirus, the infection count in Maharashtra's Thane district has gone up to 5,35,916, an official said on Thursday.

Besides these new cases reported on Wednesday, 11 more people also succumbed to the viral infection, raising the death toll in the district to 10,777, he said.

The Covid-19 mortality rate in the district stood at 2.01 per cent, he added.

Details of recovered and under-treatment patients were not provided by the district administration.

In neighbouring Palghar district, the Covid-19 case count has gone up to 1,17,726, while the death toll has reached 2,618, another official said.
