Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena on Friday slammed the Opposition's I-N-D-I-A meeting in Mumbai, saying that it has no effect on the NDA.
The Eknath Shinde-led party further said that the NDA will win more than 375 seats in the Lok Sabha elections scheduled for next year.
The Shiv Sena said that the Mahayuti will win all 48 Lok Sabha seats and also have over 215 MLAs in Maharashtra.
While speaking at a press conference, Shiv Sena MP Rahul Shewale said the I-N-D-I-A alliance is a group of scammers from across the country that have come together under one roof in Mumbai. "Those who are doing big scams in the country have gathered together to form an alliance. Around 40 thieves from 26 parties who committed scams worth several lakhs of crores, like the fodder scam, the 2G spectrum scam, the Delhi liquor scam, the Commonwealth scam, and covid center scam have come together in Mumbai," Shewale added.
Launching a scathing attack on Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray, state Industries Minister Uday Samant said the Hinduhridaysamrat's son is going around doing 'yes sir, yes sir,' to praise I-N-D-I-A bloc's leaders.
"All the corrupt leaders from across the country have come to Mumbai for tourism. And the Hinduhridaysamrat's son is going around doing 'yes sir, yes sir,' to praise these leaders who criticized our Balasaheb. The faces of those who betrayed Balasaheb's ideals are now out before the public in the I-N-D-I-A meeting," Samant said.
He further said that no matter how hard the alliance may try, the NDA will get more than 375 seats in the Lok Sabha elections. "Each letter of the I-N-D-I-A alliance has a dot. These dots reflect the division and distance between them. They said they have many PM candidates; we challenge that the name should be finalized and carried forward," said Samant, adding that those having such differing views regarding PM candidature will face a strong personality like Prime Minister Modi.
Rahul Shewale said that Uddhav Thackeray should take the I-N-D-I-A bloc leaders to Balasaheb Thackeray's memorial site and ask them to pay homage to the late Shiv Sena supremo.
Mumbai belongs to Maharashtra: Samant
Uday Samant said that the central government has no plans to usurp Mumbai from Maharashtra.
"As the elections approach, some leaders start shouting like frogs in the rainy season that the 'central government is plotting to usurp Mumbai from Maharashtra'. Only these people think that there is any such plan. We also live in Maharashtra, and we also love Mumbai. We have a doubt whether those talking about destroying Mumbai have the same intention," Uday Samant said.
Take a tour and go back: Shewale
Rahul Shewale slammed the I-N-D-I-A bloc leaders and asked them to return back.
"Many tourists visit Mumbai and enjoy tourism throughout the year. Even now, leaders from all over the country have come for tourism. Aaditya Thackeray should show them the penguins in the zoo and send them back. None of the leaders have the power or strength to face Prime Minister Modiji. Leaders conducted the meeting only to preserve the political future of their children," he said.
