41-year-old bar manager was riding pillion with the rider, who was the bar owner, he was thrown of the bike after it was knocked down by a speeding truck. The bar owner was also injured in the mishap.

According to a report by Hindustan Times, the man, who has been identified as Mahadev Poojari, who was the unfortunate victim of the accident, was admitted to a local hospital, where he was declared dead. The bike's rider sustained injuries to his leg and forehead.

The accident happened at R.A.K road at Wadala flyover junction. The duo, who were both residents of Thane, were riding to Sewri railway station after closing the bar when the accident took place. The truck driver has been arrested and booked for causing death due to rash and negligent driving.
