Rahul Raj Singh, who was booked for abetment to suicide, criminal intimidation and voluntary causing hurt of televsion actress and girlfriend Pratyusha Banerjee, has got interim bail till April 18 from the Bombay High Court.
Rahul Raj Singh, who was booked for allegedly abetting the suicide of his girlfriend Pratyusha Banerjee, had approached the Bombay High Court seeking anticipatory bail after a Sessions Court rejected his request. (Read more)

Justice Mrudula Bhatkar was told by special public prosecutor Usha Kejriwal that Rahul and Anandi were in a live in relationship and the police suspect Rahul's involvement to be more in the case. The prosecution told the court that they waiting for FSL report to ascertain when exactly Pratyusha died.

Justice Bhatkar then granted interim relief to Rahul till April but till then he will have to appear before Bangur Nagar police station every day between 11am to 1pm till April 18 for further investigation.
The accused's lawyer Abad Ponda said his client is currently in hospital and the copy of FIR has not been furnished to them. However, police has filed a report before the court. The court then perused the report, in which police alleged that Rahul, who was staying with Pratyusha at a flat in suburban Goregaon, used to assault her. He used to borrow money from her and also withdrew money from Pratyusha's account, which is why she committed suicide, according to the report.
Rahul Raj Singh to appear before police every day between 11am to 1pm till April 18.
On April 1, TV actress Pratyusha who is famous for her role in the show 'Balika Vadhu' was found hanging at the Goregaon residence she shared with Rahul. He was booked under IPC Sections 306 (abetment of suicide), 504 (intentional insult), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 323 (voluntarily causing hurt).
