MNS workers allegedly caught Sanjay Nirupam distributing cash and alcohol to voters

With the state assembly elections round the corner, MP Sanjay Nirupam is back in the thick of controversy.

According to MNS and BJP party workers, Nirupam along with Bharat Parekh (Congress-NCP candidate from Charkop), Geeta Yadav (Congress corporator) and other Congress Party workers were allegedly distributing money to voters last night atu00a0 Kandivli, in a clear violation of the Election Code of Conduct.

Daaru Party? An alcohol bottle was found near Sanjay Nirupam's vehicle.

Sanjay Patil, an MNS worker said, "We had a tip-off about Nirupam and his party workers' plan to distribute money in the area.


When we arrived we saw 3-4 vehicles parked at Dahanukarwadi. We suspected that alcohol and money was stashed in the vehicles."

Senior police inspector Surendrakumar S Jaiswal, Kandivli police station, said, "We did not find any money or liquor in Nirupam's car. We haven't filed any FIR but have lodged a complaint."

Sanjay Nirupam said, "I don't know why BJP, MNS people are after me. Last time too they did the same thing.

They broke my car's windscreen, and I was forced to flee. I had gone there to meet my party workers."
