In an application filed before the special National Investigation Agency court on Friday, Malegaon blast accused Swami Dayanand Pandey has asked for a personal music system in jail, so that he can listen to bhajans for some peace of mind. The court has asked the jail authorities to file their reply in the matter.

In his application, Pandey said that he has been in the jail since 2008 and it's disturbing him mentally. So to be in a good state of mind, he needs a personal music system. The jail authorities are expected to file their reply to the application next week, after which the court will take a decision.

Pandey was arrested on November 12, 2008, on the charges of criminal conspiracy and asking another accused Lt Col Prasad Purohit to arrange for RDX, which was used in the blast.

Final charges pending
All the accused in the case except Lt Col Prasad Purohit argued on the charges framed against them. After Purohit concludes his arguments, the court is likely to frame the final charges.

Application rejected
The court has rejected an application filed by Purohit two weeks back. He wanted to be shifted to Army jail from Taloja jail. A source said he is worried about his security at Taloja, as he was an Army Intelligence officer.
