The girl's body was recovered with the help of locals
A 4-year-old, Astha Taal, died after falling into the septic tank of a public toilet at Pimpri Pada in Kurar, Malad (East), on Tuesday.
It happened when the girl's mother took her to the toilet. After her mother went in, the girl started playing and is said to have reached the tank nearby and fallen in.

After her mother came out and didn't see her, she started searching for her. With the help of locals, she found her body in the tank.
An officer said, "The BMC was cleaning the tank, and hence, it was open. No one knows how the girl reached it and fell in."
"An accidental death has been registered and her body has been sent to Siddharth hospital for post-mortem," said senior inspector LT Vhanmane.
