major fire broke out at Bombay House building in Mumbai, which serves as the headquarters of Tata Group.

The fire reportedly broke out in the basement of the building.

Around 8-10 fire brigades, 4 to 5 water tankers and ambulances rushed to the spot to douse the fire.

Firefighters managed to evacuate people from the building.

However, three people;u00a0Farad Wadia (26), Eashwar Patel (45)u00a0and Shashank Pawar (30) died in the incident

40-year-old Chandrakant More who was injured in the mishap isu00a0in stable condition.

A Tata Sons spokesperson said, the Group offers their deepest condolences to the bereaved families and relief is being organised.

The authorities are investigating the cause of the incident. The Tata group is fully cooperating in the investigations.
