Former API Riyazuddin Qazi who was arrested in connection with the SUV bomb scare case has been dismissed from the police force. Qazi, who was under suspension, was posted at the local arms division of Mumbai Police.
The dismissal order was issued Friday under Article 311(2)(b) of Constitution of India by Commissioner of Police, Greater Mumbai.

On April 11, NIA had arrested Riyazuddin Qazi, who was an Assistant Police Inspector (API) at that time in connection with the SUV bomb scare and Mansukh Hiran murder cases. Qazi was later suspended by the Mumbai Police.

Qazi was closely associated with the prime accused, former Mumbai cop Sachin Waze, and was allegedly a part of all important investigations carried out by him, including the TRP scam. Waze was arrested on March 13.
