The Borivli police on Friday filed two charge sheets in the fake vaccination scam cases related to Aditya College and Mansi Shares and Stock Advertisers. According to the police officers investigating the case, both the charge sheets contain the statements of more than 900 witnesses, including several students of KCEP institute and those who took the fake vaccines. Statements of four to five students of KCEP institute, who have been made government witnesses in the case, were recorded under section 164 of CrPC in front of the Borivli court magistrate.
The police said that in the case related to Aditya College, where 214 people were vaccinated, Dr. Manish Tripathi, Dr Shivraj Pataria and his wife Nita Pataria, who were owners of Shivam Hospital, have been named as the main accused. The co-accused are Mahendra Singh, Mohammed Karim Ali, Rajesh Pandey, Sanjay Gupta, Rahul Dube, Chandan Singh and Nitin Morde.

In the case related to Mansi Shares and Stock Advertisers, Travel agent Shrikant Mane, who had approached the owner of the company and volunteered to organise the camp, has been named as the main accused. The other accused in the case are Mahendra Singh, Seema Ahuja, Rajesh Pandey, Sanjay Gupta, Karim Ali, Dr. Manish Tripathi, Dr. Shivraj Pataria and his wife Nita Pataria, Rahul Dube, Chandan Singh and Nitin Morde.

All the accused have been charged under various sections of the IPC, the IT Act and Pandemic Act. The police further added more sections of the Disaster Management Act and Drugs and Cosmetics Act.
A total of 12 FIRs related to the scam are registered at various police stations including Kandivli, Bangur Nagar, Khar, Versova, Amboli, Samta Nagar. One FIR was registered at Rabale police station in Navi Mumbai. So far three charge sheets have been filed against the accused.
