Man kills girlfriend's brother over break-up in Jalna

Jalna: Police on Wednesday arrested a man along with his accomplice for killing the brother of the girl he was in love with. The alleged crime occurred in Jalna district of Maharashtra

The accused identified as Kumar Anup Sonwane (20)and Karan Shelke (18), both residents of Buldana, were arrested for allegedly murdering Swapnil Bhutte (22) on June 14 at Parath in Bhokardan tehsil of Jalna district. The victim was bludgeoned to death by the accused.

The victim's body was found in the field at Parath with the face smashed. Assistant police inspector Shankar Shinde said that investigation revealed that Bhutte's cousin was in love with Sonwane and Bhutte got the wind of the alleged affair. He warned Sonawane to stop seeing his sister as it would bring a bad name to the girl's family.

Bhutte also informed his family about the affair, which led the girl to tell Sonawane that she could not continue the relationship because the family was against it.

Holding a grudge against Bhutte, Sonawane, with the help of his friend Shelke, allegedly killed him, the police officer said. Sonawane was arrested from his relative's house in Aurangabad and Shelke from Buldana. Both were booked for murder.

Mumbai: Prepare to cough up Rs 10,000 fine for illegal parking from July 7
