The victim, a real estate agent, was allegedly shot at by a history-sheeter as he was leaving Beldare Patil petrol pump
In another case of gang rivalry, a 26-year-old real estate agent was allegedly shot at by a rival member on Monday night near Beldare Patil petrol pump on Pune-Bangalore bypass.
The victim, Prashant Malhari Chavan, escaped unhurt and later approached Bharati Vidyapeeth police station to register an FIR against two suspects, including one Sunil Dokephode, alias Chocolate Sunya, a history-sheeter.
The incident
According to police, Chavan was returning home at Shankar Nagari in Ambegaon Khurd and had stopped at the petrol pump on the bypass.
As soon as he left the petrol pump, his car was stopped by Dokephode and his accomplice.
Chavan alleges that three rounds were fired at him, but he managed to escape. He claims that the incident was the fallout of past enmity between them.
