Hardikar explains, "We aim to make the general population aware of the endemic species of flora found in the park and how one can prevent harming them unknowingly."

These species are rare and unique to this green lung, and can also be found across the Western Ghats. The importance of preserving these species is seminal owing to their rarity, she adds.
