Baklava at Turkish Affaire
Drenched in sugary syrup and filled with rich dryfruits, Turkish filo pastry baklava is indeed fulfilling. Talreja got inspired by the streets of Istanbul on her visit to the country last year and decided to bring baklava to the city.

Talreja, with her daughter-in-law Itchha Talreja now runs Turkish Affaire, an enterprise that makes delicious baklavas on order. "After some experiments with our chef at home, we first started selling it to people we know during Diwali and other festivals. We soon started getting more offers after word-of-mouth publicity," Itchha tells us.

The female entrepreneurial team is based out of Churchgate and they also offer home delivery on request. Currently on offer are three options - mix nuts, pistachio and salted caramel. They take a minimum of half kg order and an order can be placed a minimum of two days in advance. Talreja makes fresh batches as per order so the freshest goodies are what you get.
