When books speak
If you are planning to switch from an established career to something you are passionate about, but don't know how to take the plunge, you might want to attend The Clown - In Pursuit of Happiness. The story of an ex-Indian Navy officer, who chose to become a professional clown will be part of the latest edition of Human Library Mumbai (HLM), where inspiring human books from Mumbai (in person), Pune, Hyderabad and Delhi (via video chat) will be present to share their unscripted life stories with readers or listeners. Other themes for the event include sexual identity, Mumbai street life, and child abuse, to name a few.
HLM is the city chapter of a movement that started in Denmark, which facilitates candid dialogue between books (speakers) and readers (listeners) with an aim to eliminate stereotypes and prejudices, and foster empathy.
