Mo Naga, Sameer Kulavoor, Orijit Sen, Kriti Monga, Cyrus Daruwala, Ayaz Basrai, Abhijeet Kini - the who's who of the Indian illustrators world have shared a common stage, Sketchup. It is a platform for artists and illustrators to network and collaborate. Illustrator Madhuvanthi Mohan founded it in 2014. The 28-year-old hosts meet-ups every few months, bringing in artists to talk about their design journeys.

This Sunday, the 15th edition of Sketchup will see London-based Janine Shroff take the stage. Shroff's work is figurative and surreal - utilising bright colours and humour with darker undertones. She is part of the Kadak Collective, had a solo show recently at Sitara Studios and is collaborating with Kulture Shop.

"We invite an established speaker to share their journey. It's an informal meeting, where we talk about what inspires us and the problems we face," says Mohan, owner of Something Sketchy, through which she retails products with her illustrations on them.

The entry is open to anyone who loves art and illustrations - full-timers, freelancers or students - and those interested in the works of speakers. "I ask for an RSVP to know about the attendees and their work. Since these meetings are a chance for people to network and collaborate, it helps that I know something about them," adds Mohan.
