"If I had one dollar left, I would spend it on PR", this quote by Bill Gates reinforced Md Badshah Ansari on his vision for starting his digital PR and marketing agency called Teamology Softech and Media Services Pvt. Ltd. The start-up, launched in August 2020, offers services related to digital marketing and PR, with the mission to make the service affordable for MSEs as well as social media influencers.
"I have no godfathers, I come from a very regular family, and I have made it on my own. When Gulrez and I started our company, we realised that PR is a very expensive exercise. That's when we decided to do something about it. Our primary focus is on providing effective affordable digital PR service to budding and aspirational businesses, so that they can use the internet effectively, as a medium to reach out to the masses and bolster their digital ventures."
Teamology Softech and Media Services Pvt. Ltd recently won the at the Mid-day Iconic International Awards. Elated with the recognition Badshah says it motivates them to do better work, "It is really encouraging when your hard work gets recognised. It indicates that we are on the right track and should continue pushing ourselves. We already have our presence in India and the idea is now to go global. We want to make PR affordable across the globe."
Talking about the future, Badshah adds that this is the right time to convert traditional marketing methods and manual PR to its digital avatar, "The pandemic has changed a lot of things. People are mostly confinded to homes and today everything is consumed on the internet. Be it education or groceries and even movies and web-series, everything is online. Having a digitial presence is no longer an option. If you want your brand to be visible or as an individual it is important to be on social media so that people know about your work."
Talking about the competition, Badshah is of the view that one needs to believe in oneself and give his 100% in terms of hard work. There are many competitors, but I won't be taking anybody's name out there. I just stay focused. I create evangelists and not just customers. I got involved and choose wisely. I learned how to handle competition in business. We understand the competition and look after your existing customers, target new markets and expand ourselves."
On the work front, they have some interesting projects lined up, "During the mid-day Iconic Awards meet in Dubai, we were able to do a lot of networking. We have locked two films, one is in Bollywood and another one is an international project. Apart from that, we are also expanding our individual clients."
