Having assumed human identities, Sersi (Gemma Chan), Ikaris (Richard Madden), Kingo (Kumail Nanjiani), Phastos (Brian Tyree Henry), Sprite (Lia McHugh), Makkari (Lauren Ridloff), Thena (Angelina Jolie), Druig (Barry Keoghan), Gilgamesh (Ma Dong-seok aka Don Lee) and Ajak (Salma Hayek) are brought out of their peaceful lives by the re-emergence of their evil counterparts, creatures known as the Deviants. In just one film, we have got brand new superheroes whose stories will definitely be worth waiting for to watch on the big screen in the years to come!
MCU Trademark humour and wit
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is known for its trademark wit and scenes with droll banter between its superheroes. This is present in Eternals in spades, with Kumail Nanjiani's Kingo and our Harish Patel as Karun leading the way!
Eternals Assemble! And our very own Harish Patel!
Whether it's Gemma Chan as the soft-spoken Sersi; Salma Hayek as the empathetic leader Ajak; Richard Madden's charismatic outing as Ikaris; Kumail Nanjiani as the witty and fun Bollywood star Kingo; Don Lee's affable Gilgamesh; Angelina Jolie's mesmerising Thena; Lauren Ridloff's first deaf superhero Makkari - the cast shares crackling chemistry that works in the film's favour. The best part is our very own Harish Patel who has stolen hearts, got rave reviews and won a lot of love as Karun in the film!
MCU's many firsts with diverse representation!
Eternals has been hugely praised for its massive series of firsts and diverse representation, from the first deaf superhero, to portraying a same sex couple and various ethnicities as superheroes, and being the first Marvel movie to be directed by a woman of Asian descent, Eternals has it all, which is hugely relevant in today's times
