Bright and sunny colours are in this season. Fluorescent pink and lime green top the colour charts. They make your shoes look boho, chic and funky.
Back with bang
A brand, hitherto known for its durability rather than its designs, is now a talk of the town. Bata has unveiled its stylish and trendy Spring Summer collection, aptly calling it, Be Surprised, and the shoes are a hit with shoppers.
The new collection has patent leather shoes, high heels, wedges and foil finish shoes in pink, green, purple, red and pastel shades.
According to Srinivasan, store manager at the Bata showroom on Brigade Road, there has been 30 per cent increase in the women's footwear sales since the new collection was launched this season. "A lot of people who come to browse end up buying," he adds.
Darshana B (24), an entrepreneur, says, "My mom used to buy Bata shoes for us when we were kids. I rarely visited Bata stores. But friends told me their new collection is good, so I went to check it out and I was pleasantly surprised to see such stylish shoes for women."
Summer is the best time to wear short dresses and high heels. Stilettos and wedges are elegant and add grace to your gait. As compared to stilettos, wedges are more comfortable. Fluorescent colours are cool, but make sure they suit your skintone.

I love shoes that are shiny. I make it a point to match my shoes to my clothes and bags. Stilettos and wedge shoes are a big fashion statement this season. I usually shop for shoes abroad, but in Bangalore I shop at Inc.5 and VNC. I love Katrina Kaif's shoes. She has beautiful legs and can carry off any shoes with style.
I love high heel shoes and have more than 60 pairs in almost all colours. Pink, green, yellow and purple are my choices for the summer. This season, pink and green are in as they are funky and add to your style quotient.u00a0 High heels must be bought from a branded store as wearing cheap shoes can harm your health. So, think of shoes as an investment and go for the best.
