The Tain Square on Fatima Nagar Road has now become an exciting junction for cultural evenings on weekends.
This time you can catch the artworks by artist Sujit Prakashrao Giram whose preferred medium of expression is acrylic on canvas. Residing at Marathwada Beed, the artist is eloquent when he speaks about his art.



His artworks are based on the theme of "Village Life" and he does figurative paintings. "I am inspired by the simplicity of village life and that is what I try to portray in my paintings. You can see human figures, animals and nature depicted in the images," he states.

Giram's art has been exhibited in other cities like Mumbai and Delhi as well, apart from Pune. This is his fifth exhibition in the city. He explains, his style is a merging and blend of soft colours. "I believe that village life is very peaceful and simple and I try to reflect this peacefulness in my art," he adds.u00a0

His paintings include scenes depicting a haldi festival during a wedding, a lighting of a diya during worship and other simple but extraordinary scenes from life in a village.
