The acoustic world music trio and the visual artist are reputed to play music that confounds the audience into a lotus eaters like limbo.

Ensemble IF will be performing their Music with a Vision concert today

All the world's a stage
Known for coming up with new compositions, their approach is often touted to be meticulous and thorough. Creating an engaging platform for music, they trace the influences of their music to India, Finland, France, Argentina and Canada. As per them, the cultural diversity of these areas have influenced them in creating music, which is not only wrapped in the traditions of Classical and Jazz music but which also incorporates the latest in digital arts. From composition to improvisation along with devising the stage design for their own music, images and scenography are also done by them.

An Indian spring
India was a natural landmark on their performance radar as the cultural and musical affinities of the members of the group were a strong motivation. Lähdeoja is the Electronic music specialist of the band whereas Guibert draws his inspiration from various places such as Australia, South America and India. His musical style ranges from playing Classical music to Brazilian and Jazz to original compositions and importantly, Electronic and improvised music, too. Sarachian, the violoncellist on the other hand, has a diversified artistic expression from Classical music to contemporary experimental music to Tango, Folk and music for films. For visual art, Berthier's specialty lays in being to every part of the world in collaboration with the artist Karl-Otto von Oertzen under the name of Marswalkers.

The whole idea of the show is to have a comprehensive audio-visual setup combining a concert by the trio with visual elements and projections by Berthier. The music concert would be combined with a scenographic structure made up of moving fabric on which would be projected a mix of video images and a play of light. u00a0This show, a blend of digital arts and scenic forms, is a reflection of the contemporary creative scene of Europe. Currently, Ensemble IF is in the process of recording its first album post their formation in Brussels in 2010.
