Taiwanese OEM maker Winstron is apparently setting up the manufacturing facility and production is set to begin in April this year. This price speculation suggests that prices for the iPhone 8 made in the country might reduce. Currently, 12 per cent of manufacturing and production costs on Apple devices are paid by Apple as import taxes and duties in India. These costs are added to the final price of Apple products, thus making the gadgets' total cost quite expensive.

If Apple devices become cheaper, then better service and repairs can be availed from local official stores in India. It is believed that Apple plans to restrict itself to specific gadgets at the present time and gradually increase production at a later stage.
