The Facebook profile of Overhung describes them as 'a superband of sorts'. If that's something you don't want to go by then the enthusiasm of the band members could surely get you excited. The band is going to have their second performance at Pune on Thursday at the Hard Rock Cafe.
Sujit Kumar, the vocalist of the band (who is also part of Kickstart Freedom), says that they had a great time the last time they performed in Pune and they are looking forward to performing in the city again. "But, then we were still finding our way.u00a0 So, you can effectively call this is our first gig," he says adding, "We have been playing a lot and now our gigs are well-known at parties."
Overhung will be playing quite a few originals this time. "The lastu00a0 time, we were only a month old, andu00a0 we didu00a0 covers," explains Kumar.u00a0 Some of their originals like 'Casual Bitch' and 'Sex Machine' have already become quite popular. The videos have also been uploaded on Facebook as well and many people know the entire songs and they sing along, adds Kumar.
Overhung is 4-piece band and comprises of Howard Pereira on lead guitar, Sheldon Dixon on drums, Krishna Kumar Venkatachalam on bass guitar and Sujit Kumar on lead vocals. Kumar calls their music as 'alternative and mainstream rock'. Melroy Coelho, who was earlier part of the band left to go to the Gulf and Krishna Kumar joined the band in his place.
