The touch-based infotainment system is standard on the new Endeavour, however, SYNC 3 will only be offered with the top-end Titanium trims (Trend will be offered with the existing SYNC 2 unit). SYNC 3 was globally unveiled in December 2014 and is available in Ford's latest cars since last year.
SYNC 3 has been developed by Ford from the ground-up and the automaker has done away with the involvement of Microsoft this time. For the uninitiated, SYNC and SYNC 2 were co-developed with Microsoft. SYNC 3 gets more powerful computing and comes with a brand new user interface. Additionally, SYNC 3 also offers over-the-air updates when connected via a Wi-Fi network. It features improved voice command functions with simplified inputs and even the Applink - your favourite smartphone applications connected via a voice-activated technology - is faster and more responsive than before. Also, you can still control the climate control unit from the car's infotainment system.
Like before, it will feature Emergency Assistance, which will call emergency services in case of any casualty.
