The story of Mohit Kumar, a 10-year-old resident of Dhanbad, Jharkhand is an odd one.
The boy, who was weaned when he was 2-years-old has been suckling dog milk since the age 4! According to his parents, Mohit apparently picked up this habit when playing with a group of strays outside his home one day and has been at it ever since.

In fact, his canine companions have no problems with is milk craving and even encourage it.
Medical experts say that although consuming dog's milk is not harmful to humans, the possibility of developing rabies exists.
Wary about his son's habit, Mohit's parents haven't enrolled him in school as of yet. Mohit's father Subedar Singh is a roadside fruit juice seller and mother Pinky Kumari, a domestic househelp.
Mohit had to be hospitalised after attempting being bitten by a stray bitch from another locality when he attempted to suck milk from her breast. He underwent treatment and was vaccinated for rabies at a local hospital.
