'My marriage has hit a rough patch....'

Dear Diana,
My marriage is on the rocks. My husband and I fight frequently and are always gunning for each other. Common friends and family members have tried everything possible for a reconciliation, but nothing has worked for us. We have planned to live separately for a while and then plan the future course of action. Ever since I began living alone, I have become insecure. Common pals tell me that my husband has befriended another woman. This is posing to be a source of bother for me. I cannot digest the fact that he has taken a fancy to someone else. Our common pals say that he finds peace when she is around and plans to marry her. I know that we are heading for a divorce, but I don't know why I am going through this insecure phase. Should I tell my husband what is going on in my mind? I am all messed up in my head.

You had been facing severe issues in your marriage. It was your call to stay separately for a while. Now, that you have decided to go your way, why harbour insecurities? Your husband has resigned himself to his fate, so why are you adding to the problems? Do not fall a prey to what your common pals are telling you. You are not yet officially divorced, so he cannot get hitched to another woman so soon. Banish such thoughts from your mind. You are keen to move on, so why even care what your husband is doing? It is time you move on and get going in your life. If you are still undecided, then you need to take a call whether you want to stick on with your hubby, or not. There are only two ways out and sooner you take the decision, the better it will be for you.
