With most people coming to Mumbai for work, the city is known to cater to different kinds of diners that want to explore different dishes in local cuisines. This week, Sofitel Mumbai BKC in Bandra East is serving a delicious menu of traditional Koli favourites till June 9.
The Koli community are the fisherman community in Mumbai and one of the original inhabitants of the city with a unique cuisine that has delicious dishes that revolve around different kinds of fish.
Diners can indulge in authentic dishes like Jawlyachi Bhaji, Chicken Sukka Koli Style, Tandoori Rawas, Stuffed Pomfret Koli Style, Prawns Hirwa Masala, Bombil Pankanji and Kolambi Bhaat. For dessert, people can relish traditional delicacies like Ukadiche Modak and Ghariya to end the meal on a sweet note. To wash it down, sip on a Kokam Cooler, Coconut Paradise or a Minty Mango Fizz to make the most of the mango season.
The Koli food festival will be available for dinner only at Pondichery Café at Sofitel BKC from 7 pm till 11 pm each evening.
On Sunday, June 9, it will be served for brunch from 12:30 pm till 4 pm.
