Lock Upp: Will Kangana Ranaut be bold, brutal and unabashed on the show?

The big guns of Bollywood have jumped into the bandwagon of OTT. With no censorship in sight, the landscape and the language are laced with darkness and dazzle, and expletives and erotica flow like water. But Kangana Ranaut deviates from the tried and tested, she isn't participating in any such series. She hosts a show called Lock UPP, presented by Ekta Kapoor's ALT Balaji.

16 contestants will participate on the show and Ranaut gets to judge their capacity in all the scathing and scary ways. Their fate is in the hands of this explosive actor who promises to be as savage as possible. The show seems to be no-holds-barred and in-your-face in all fascinating and fearful ways.

Think of Bigg Boss but far more violent and volatile, with this actress taking charge who shall spare no one for their sins. For whatever little the actress described at the launch, it's not just the body but the soul that's likely to be put on the line. You falter, you pay.

The declaration is dichotomous. It may be fearless in its craft or concept, but what about the contestants who have to fear the ferocity of the host? Lock UPP promises to be ruthless and nerve-racking in the manner in which Kangana Ranaut is going to run her jail. 16 lives behind bars but no-holds-barred.
