After Bollywood wives, Delhi’s glitterati is here

We got a peek into Bollywood celebrities' inside circle, thanks to 'Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives' (2020). But Mumbai isn't the only destination for all things glamour. Delhi's social circle is a mélange of culture, art, politics, and fashion, making it the perfect subject for an OTT series. Mid-day has learnt that Amazon Prime Video India has commissioned a documentary series that will trace the high-flying lives of the capital's rich and famous.

Currently, in the development stage, the project will see Tushar Tyagi as the showrunner and Banijay as the production house. A source reveals, "The show is in pre-
production, with the team locking the final names that will star in it. Fashion designer duo Shivan Bhatiya and Narresh Kukreja of Shivan & Narresh fame, socialite Kalyani Chawla, and jewellery designer Nitya Arora of Valliyan fame are among those approached. The team is hoping to take the series - which follows the socialites as they run their businesses, attend soirées and hobnob with the glamorous - on floors by October."

Banijay is currently in the midst of a global merger with media house Endemol, and the show's final paperwork will be completed by next month.
