Kinshuk's father Nitin Vaidya works in the hotel industry, while his mother Medha Vaidya is a homemaker.

While Kinshuk Vaidya is still best remembered as Sanju from Shaka Laka Boom Boom, he had made his acting debut at age 4. Kinshuk had a small appearance as a little kid in the Marathi film Suna Yeti Ghara, which starred prominent Marathi actors - Laxmikant Berde, Alka Kubal.

He went on bagging another Marathi film - Dhangad Dhinga (1999) - yet another film starring Laxmikant Berde. The film was directed by Mahesh Kothare. In the same year, Kinshuk also made his TV debut with Vishnu Puran, where Kinshuk played young Pralhad.

Kinshuk Vaidya was spotted on his terrace when he was busy flying a kite and that's how he bagged Dhangad Dhinga. Eventually, he also bagged Ajay Devgn and Kajol-starrer Raju Chacha and stepped his foot into Bollywood.

After Raju Chacha, Kinshuk Vaidya appeared in Shaka Laka Boom Boom, a show that gave him immense fame. It also featured Hansika Motwani and Reema Vohra among others, and the show was appreciated for its fresh content. Shaka Laka Boom Boom, which started in August 2000, went off the air in October 2004.

But to become an actor was never Kinshuk's ultimate dream! You would be surprised to know that Kinshuk Vaidya wanted to be a fighter pilot and was even moving towards fulfilling his dream. He even opted for science to pursue a career in aviation. But destiny had other plans.

Just when things started moving in the right direction, Kinshuk learned that his eyesight has become weak and his wish to become a fighter pilot had to be dropped. His life took a dramatic turn and it was then that he turned back to TV.

Kinshul Vaidya then pursued BMM (Bachelor of Mass Media) from Mumbai's one of the most popular management colleges - Mithibai College.

In 2016, Kinshuk Vaidya made a comeback on Indian television after more than a decade with the show 'Ek Rishta Saajhedari Ka'.

"Television has always been my first love. I knew I was going to make a comeback to television after completing my studies. I had been offered many shows meanwhile but I wanted to take up something which could excite me," Kinshuk said in a statement, when his comeback was announced.

After Ek Rishta Saajhedari Ka, Kinshul appeared in shows such as Woh Apna Sa, Karn Sangini, Jaat Na Poocho Prem Ki, Ishq Subhan Allah and the latest one being RadhaKrishn.

On the personal front, Kinshuk Vaidya and TV actress Shivya Pathania met on the sets of Ek Rishta Saajhedari Ka and have been dating for three years now.

Kinshuk Vaidya has known actress Shivya Pathania for the last five years. "She has grown to become my closest and dearest friend in this industry. We first met at the audition of a show and then eventually became co-actors," said Kinshuk.

"There are several moments that we cherish together, but the most special one is that of her first birthday that we spent together after we became friends. She has been and is my biggest cheerleader, confider and support system," the actor added further, while talking about the bond he shares with his girlfriend Shivya Pathania.

Kinshuk and Shivya are even ready to take the plunge soon! Talking about their marriage plans he had told media in 2019 that since both of them are busy with their hectic shooting schedules, they have not thought about any specific year to get hitched, but eventually, they are planning to get married.
