Parth Samthaan and Anchal Singh in `Mere Haniyaa`
Parth Samthaan and co-star Anchal Singh's âMere Haniyaa' trailer has been receiving a lot of love. As the duo await the release of the song sung by Arko, Parth and Anchal reveal what's on their playlist, to mid-day.com.
Anchal: I listen to music from all over the world, sometimes I don't even understand the language. Nowadays Korean music is doing so well, either the melody has to be good or the lyrics. Even if I don't understand the lyrics I enjoy the melody. I am a music geek and keep for looking different instruments being used. Right now I'm hooked to âBijlee Bijlee' by Hardy Sandhu, thanks to instgaram I'm in the loop about which songs are trending.
Parth: At the moment I'm travelling, on the highway and so my choice of music depends on my mood. Right now I'm listening to Emraan Hashmi songs that were popular 10 years ago. I love the songs of Awarapan by Pritam. âIn Dino Dil Mera' from Life in a Metro is another favourite. I keep listening to songs that are romantic and add some meaning to life. I enjoy songs sung by KK. When I feel like singing I go into the filmi zone. When I'm in the mood to dance I go into the EDM and Techno mode. I've been watching a lot of Korean cinema since a decade in fact I should be paid to watch so much Korean drama. I know every Korean film and every drama; in fact I'm the one who tells my friends which shows to watch. When I watch Bollywood films I'm always saying âArre Yeh to woh Korean film se uthaya hai.' Korean cinema and dramas are growing by leaps and bounds and they are very good with romance.
Anchal: Korean is very close to the Indian understanding of love, it's so easy to connect with them. Recently I was shooting in Sri Lanka and a lot of people don't know Hindi songs but they are crazy for Bollywood, to the extent where they sing an entire song for you in the correct melody without knowing the meaning of the lyrics. Music connects hearts. Which is why it's so exciting being part of a music video and reaching a video audience. I can't wait for people to see our full song.
