Karanvir Sharma and Debattama Saha from âShaurya Aur Anokhi Ki Kahani' that recently went off air, have come together to star in the music video of the show's song âJo Tera Howega,' fulfilling the request of their fans. Debattama has sung the song while Karanvir has directed the video. The actor speaks to mid-day.com about all that went into its making.
How did the idea of making a music video for âJo Tera Howega' come about?
The song is beautiful and Debattama wanted to do a cover in her voice. I felt the song needed proper visual orientation; just a cover wouldn't cut it. One idea led to another, when we finalised the location we decided to make it a dream sequence of sorts. The music video is dreamy, it talks about positivity and love. The lyrics made the visuals flow and we incorporated it in the direction part of it.
You are also making your music video directorial debut with the songâ¦
Direction is something I started my career with. I used to fancy the job and thought I'll be a director more than anything else. Then acting came my way and it takes up most of my time, I want to concentrate on it for sure. If something exciting like âJo Tera Howega' comes I'll jump at it. Direction for this song was something that I knew I could do justice to if I took the onus.
Where was the video shot, and any behind the scenes moments?
We will be releasing a BTS video later on. Lots of fun moments. Whoever sees the video will realise this song needed at least two-three days, and we pulled it off in one shift with great planning, dedication and no down time for actors. The video was shot in Mumbai. We were lucky enough to have a good space. This kind of a story required multiple locations.

Message to fans of Shaurya Aur Anokhi Ki Kahani who are excited for the video?
This is a culmination and at the same time extension of the show that gave us love and appreciation. The fans have been wanting this video since a long time. It's an extension of our gratitude towards them. It's Anokhi's point of view, she talks about the hopeless romantic that she is and what love means to her. I hope even those who are not fans of the show, watch it for the love of music and give us the kind of appreciation our fans do!
