Anupamaa Update: Anupamaa reaches chhoti Anu’s school programme after it’s over, chhoti Anu is very sad and Anuj is extremely angry and upset

The day starts with Anuj ‘buying time' by doing a solo dance on stage till the time Anupamaa drives her way as fast as possible to make it to the school programme. Despite all his efforts, Anupamaa still does not reach. Babuji feels very repentful for not waiting back at home so that Anupamaa could have attended the function. Meanwhile, Anuj keeps on pepping up chhoti Anu by saying that Anupamaa will never be late. Anupamaa's vehicle gets stopped at the ‘check-naaka' by the traffic police, who tells her to divert her route as construction work is going on. Back here, when it's time for Anupamaa and chhoti Anu's performance, chhoti Anu starts crying seeing Anupamaa still not come. Anuj feels extremely regretful about Anupamaa not being able to make it.

Just as when the winners are about to be announced, Anupamaa stops the programme and apologizes before everyone for her delay. She earnestly requests everyone in the audience to give her one chance to perform on stage. The judges and audiences oblige her and chhoti Anu to perform on stage. Everyone applauds them for their outstanding performance.

When the winners get announced, seeing them not getting the first prize, chhoti Anu is extremely sad. That's when Anupamaa tells her to be happy even if they lose and someone else wins. Anuj becomes extremely upset about the whole episode.
