Here's how the cast of Porus is celebrating Holi

Be it playing Holi on the sets or enjoying Holi parties with their families, the cast of Siddharth Kumar Tewary's 'Porus' have grand plans for the festival.

Rishi Verma: When I was young, Holi was always the day to look forward to. We would make preparations and plans for balloon fights, get water guns and colors to smudge on each other. The day was spent roaming around with colour on our faces, eating goodies all over the neighbourhood. Now, over the years, Holi has been cast into quite subtle flavors. It is generally celebrated by greeting and meeting family and friends, wet colors seem tedious and a waste of clean water , also an environment-friendly attitude has made us resort to dry Holi. I plan to celebrate Holi with my dear ones, wishing good fortune and health to everyone.

Ashlesha Sawant: Being an Air Force kid, Holi was always a massive celebration. The whole campus would get together and celebrate with food, music and of course colors. Each year was very impromptu. Holi has changed for me. I've become a very peace-loving person. So, loud music and crowds are really not something I look for but surprises are always welcome.

Hrishikesh Pandey: Since we come from an army family, it was always fun playing Holi. We all used to get together at somebody else's place and the group used to become bigger and bigger with the entire army colony in attendance. Initially, we used to make a lot of gujiyas and other sweets. I had a sweet tooth due to which I used to fall sick as I used to go crazy on sweets and I often ate extra. I also enjoyed playing Holi with friends and family. We all had lots of fun, dhamaal and masti the entire day and in the late evening, we used to come back home. Holi is a day where you forget all bad memories with people who you're not fond of and just start afresh with them.I left playing Holi for a very long time in between as people used paints and that spoilt skin and was dangerous as well. But now people are playing with organic colors and water, so I have started playing again. There are no special plans for Holi this year as I don't plan anything in advance. But definitely my friends are there, they will plan something for sure. This time my family is also coming to Mumbai for the first time. If I am not shooting that day, I'll definitely enjoy Holi.

Akash Singh Rajput: My childhood memory is little crazy. I used to lock myself on the terrace and fill colors in a bucket and throw those color balloons at people from the terrace. If I get time, I will definitely try to go back to my hometown and enjoy the family get together on Holi. The definition of Holi is still the same, the festival is the same for me.

Vishal Patni: Holi has always been memorable since childhood, though I was really scared in my childhood days of seeing people with colored faces. I used to lock myself in the room so that no one can apply any sort of color on me. I just enjoyed hitting people with water balloons back then. But seeing everyone united and enjoying are my most cherished moments. My plans for this year is probably shooting as we are having tight shifts. If I'll be here in Umbergaon, I will celebrate with my Porus family. But obviously, if I get the day off, I will like to enjoy with my friends and will go to some event for celebrations. Being in Mumbai has its own specialty, where you get to see the whole industry under a roof on festivals and enjoying like there is no tomorrow, dancing their hearts out and putting gulal on each other faces. This is all that keeps you going when you are away from your family.

Riya Deepsi: Actually, when we were kids every Holi morning, my mother used to give us mathari , aloo chips , aloo ke papad , shakarpaare to eat as a breakfast. Meanwhile, my father used to make buckets full of colours and then me and my brother used to fill our gun tanks with it and then we all used to go downstairs and celebrate with neighbours or even the passengers passing our road. So, eating all this had become a ritual for us to celebrate Holi. This year might be different as I will probably be in Umbergaon. Holi for me is still that one day where everyone gathers, plays with colours, becomes a child all over again and then eats the most delicious food.

Laksh: I have vivid memories of Holi from Delhi, my hometown. In colonies, peple gather and everyone put colors on one another and plays Holi and one gets to eat gujiya and drink thandai too. My total focus is Porus and I am enjoying every moment of it. I will celebrate Holi with co-stars.
