Fast paced, edgy and filled with engaging twists in its narrative -- COLORS' hard-hitting social drama, 'Laado Veerpur Ki Mardaani' promises viewers a cliffhanger in its upcoming episodes. After having failed to get justice for her sister Janvi's (Palak Jain) killing, an unexpected turn of events in the show will see Anushka (Avika Gor) stepping into Ammaji's shoes, leaving the audiences completely spellbound.
When contacted, Avika confirmed the development and said, "Anushka's character started out with her being very righteous and believing that nobody is above the law. But, the way her family is wronged by Yuvraj and his family leads her to believe that she will have to kill her conscience to put an end to this evil. She therefore decides to walk on Ammaji's path and takes on where she left off. I am really looking forward to the change in my character, I will now sport a harsher and bolder look that will be emulated in both my styling and make up, which I think will be very exciting for the viewers to see."
Bold and fierce up until the very end, Ammaji is stabbed and news later reaches Anushka that Rantej has buried her alive. A devastated Anushka goes searching for her but is unable to find Amma ji. The loss of her beloved grandmother makes her realise that such evil can only be cut by evil and Anushka dons the avatar of her beloved Ammaji, further vowing to avenge her family.
