She was the small screen's darling, playing the grown-up Anandi in the popular TV show Balika Vadhu. And now sources say that Pratyusha Banerjee could be taking her first steps in Bollywood soon.
Sources say that the actress will be making her debut in Rikku Rakeshnath's new film, which will also feature the producer's son Karan Nath. The film is said to be a Bollywood remake of a South film and the makers apparently are keeping the details under wraps.
A source says, "Rikku has been considering many young faces to launch opposite his son. Pratyusha is in the running and rumours are that she could be the one finalised for the project. After patiently waiting for many years, the producer is looking to re-launch his son."
Says Pratyusha, "We are in talks but I can't say anything at this point of time. But yes, it is a remake of a South movie."
Adds Rikku, "Nothing has been finalised as we have shortlisted many girls. We are waiting for the director's approval."
