Varun Tej and Lavanya Tripathi wedding rights sold to OTT platform? Here's what we know

Varun Tej and Lavanya Tripathi tied the knot in Tuscany, Italy on November 1 in the presence of family members and friends. It was a close-knit affair. According to reports, the couple will be hosting receptions in Hyderabad and Dehradun soon. Amid this, there were rumours of Varun and Lavanya's wedding rights being sold to Netflix.

According to initial reports, the OTT giant acquired the rights to stream Varun and Lavanya's wedding for a substantial sum of Rs 8 crores. Now, as per Varun's team, the rumours are false. In a statement, the team clarified, "The ongoing speculations around the OTT rights of Varun Tej & Lavanya Tripathi's wedding are completely baseless and untrue. Requesting everyone not to believe in such rumours and spread them."

Varun and Lavanya's wedding was an intimate affair at the exquisite Borgo San Felice in Tuscany, Italy. Varun looked dapper in a Manish Malhotra sherwani in cream, gold, and ivory, paired with a traditional dhoti. Meanwhile, Lavanya wore a crimson-red Kanchivaram saree by the same designer. Her attire was completed with a long, dreamy veil, with special Varun-Lav embroidery. The couple shared pictures on social media and expressed their love and gratitude. Varun's caption read, "My Lav! (red heart emoji)."

Varun and Lavanya's pre-wedding festivities began with a glitzy and glamourous Cocktail party on October 30. The couple opted for white outfits. Lavanya looked stunning in a white embellished gown, which was reportedly designed by Manish Malhotra. Varun was also dressed in an MM classic white tuxedo. In a viral picture, Varun and Lavanya posed with Ram Charan and Upasana Konidela.

Before the mehendi ceremony, the family united for Varun and Lavanya's Haldi. The couple opted for yellow outfits. The bride was dressed in a bright yellow kurta which was paired with a yellow and white ombre skirt. The groom wore a kurta. At their mehendi, Lavanya looked gorgeous in a pastel multicoloured embroidered lehenga whereas Varun wore a pink ombre sherwani. The couple posed for pictures with guests. Their reception dates are yet to be announced.

Varun and Lavanya got engaged on June 9 in Hyderabad.
