Minnal Murali comics
'Minnal Murali', Malayalam cinema's first superhero starring Tovino Thomas was released on Netflix in 2021. Directed by Basil Joseph, the film received a lot of praise from audience and critics alike. Now, Minnal Murali is all set to be apart of the popular Indian comic book, Tinkle comics. The comics is popularly known for its characters like Shikari Shambu, Tantri The Mantri, Suppandi and more. The comics will now feature the adventure of superhero Minnal Murali as well.
The official launch of the comics will be done at the ongoing San Diego comic con by actor Ran Daggubati. The Baahubali star is currently in San Diego to announce his upcoming content slate which includes the Minnal Murali comic addition to Tinkle. Spirit Media, the entertainment and media company founded by Rana, will announce new films, series and comics. The actor will launch his new film Hiranyakashyap, to be written by Trivikram Srinivas, and a Tinkle comic based on the superhero Malayalam film Minnal Murali.
Rana stated, "We want to captivate audiences worldwide by bringing them stories that transcend boundaries and ignite the imagination." Along with Spirit, Amar Chitra Katha comic book company, founded by Anant Pai in 1967, will make its appearance at booth no. 4237.
Spirit Media's lineup of projects includes the film Hiranyakashyap, inspired by the mythological story of the demon king Hiranyakashyapu. Rana Daggubati will play the titular role and the story will be written by well-known Telugu filmmaker Trivikram Srinivas. Spirit has also announced its partnership with Weekend Blockbusters, the producers of the 2021 Malayalam superhero film Minnal Murali.

Rana Daggubati also announced his Telugu historical action-drama series 'Lords of the Deccan' at the San Diego comic con. The series is an adaptation of the Indian bestseller, 'Lords of The Deccan: Southern India from Chalukyas to Cholas', written by Anrirudh Kanisetti. It promises to take the viewers back in time to witness the birth of the Chalukyas, a dynasty that shaped southern India for centuries. 'Lords of the Deccan' is the author's debut work and one of the most talked-about history books of 2022. It even won the Book of the Year (Non-Fiction) Award at The Mumbai LitFest. The series will be soon available to stream on Sony LIV.
