Punjabi musician and lyricist Bunty Bains, a close friend of Sidhu Moosewala, narrowly escaped a life-threatening attack in Mohali. The incident occurred at a restaurant in Sector 79, where Bunty was present, but fortunately, he emerged unharmed.

Following the attack, Bunty received a threatening phone call demanding a ransom of Rs 1 crore. He promptly filed a police complaint, and an investigation is underway. The assailant, identified as Lucky Patial, is allegedly linked to criminal groups associated with Lawrence Bishnoi and Bambiha. Bunty Bains, known for his role in managing Siddhu Moosewala's work and business, has filed a police complaint and is known for his contributions as a producer and talent manager.

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan topped the list of 10 main targets that jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi planned to eliminate, the notorious criminal confessed to the National Investigation Agency, officials said. Bishnoi in his confession said that apart from Salman Khan, he was also targeting Shagunpreet, the manager of the late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala.
Bishnoi said that Shagunpreet was on his hit list as he managed the accounts of the late singer and had also sheltered Vicky Middukhera, a student leader in Punjab politics who supported Lawrence Bishnoi and was subsequently killed.
Canada-based Goldy Brar has previously allegedly claimed that singer Sidhu Moosewala was assassinated to avenge the killing of Vikramjit Singh.

Singer-turned-actor-politician Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead by gangsters close to his ancestral village in Mansa in Punjab, police said. He was 27 years old. He was travelling in his vehicle when the assailants fired at the singer and his two friends. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.
Leaving behind his celebrated tag of a top Punjabi rap singer with fans across the globe, Moosewala, belonging to native Moosa village, made his electoral debut as a Congress candidate from Mansa for the February 20 Assembly polls.
"I am not entering politics for status or to earn praise. I want to become a part of the system to transform it. I am joining the Congress to raise the voice of the people. I am joining the Congress as the party has leaders who have come from common families," Moosewala, who went to Canada in 2016 as an international student, had said on the day he joined the politics.
